This one-year stipend valuing up to $24,000 awards the work of one full-time graduate student who is pursuing an electrical engineering degree at an accredited graduate school in the United States. If interested, please apply before the deadline on May 10, 2022. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from an accredited engineering school within the United States. In addition to completing the application form, candidates must submit certified transcripts from all colleges or universities they have attended, as well as three letters of recommendation from professors who are familiar with the candidate’s work. Please note that the complete name, title, and address of the reference must be clearly stated on the letter. Letters of recommendation should address the candidate’s character, originality, ability to perform graduate work, social responsibility, diligence, leadership, communication skills, and where the reference would rank the applicant among students they have known in this field.

Established over 80 years ago, this scholarship program honors Charles LeGeyt Forescue for his remarkable contributions to the field of electrical engineering. The stipend is awarded through a trust for which the IEEE has been appointed as a trustee. This scholarship may be supplemented with additional scholarships, internships, or tuition assistance programs by the graduate school in accordance with their internal guidelines. The scholarship recipient may also receive payments for work that is directly related to the graduate study during the same academic year. The recipient of this award will be selected in June 2022 by the IEEE Board of Directors. For more information or apply for this opportunity, please visit provider’s website.
